My local hood joint. They aren't NY Bagels, but really good. I like the coffee, but Stone Creek is right next door so I go there most of the time. I think their Bagels could be a little bigger. I always get the egg, cheese, and turkey sausage, most of the time on the Jalapeno Cheese bagel really good!

Avoid this location. The guy actually making the food was new and in training. The manager couldn't be bothered to help. This location seems under staffed. It is very dirty here. The track lighting above where they make your salad and sandwiches is clumped with dust. Floors need to be swept. Also avoid the Broccoli and cheese soup. It is exactly the same as Panera Bread but seems to have pepper added. It's just a mess. There are better locations for this place. I suggest the one on 85th and bluemound.

Jeffrey: you need to try this location again. I typically come on Sunday morning. Today, the sesame and poppyseed are loaded with seeds. I ordered the Rosemary-OliveOil and it is deliciously fresh. Service is fast despite being quite busy. The coffee is hot, although uninspired. For good coffee, Stone Creek is next door. My 4 stars are because it is a chain after all. I have to reserve 5 stars for my favorite NYC bagel shops.

Always great food. Bagels are always fresh and soup is always great. Friendly service and decent prices!

This review is NOT about all of Brueggers about which I know little. I just love one bagel flavor and they have discontinued it. The workers at the Whitefish Bay store will know exactly who I am because I just hold up a number of fingers and they know which bagels I want: a very nice and friendly reaction. I understand this is a corporate decision to I've contacted them too. BRING BACK JALAPENO CHEDDAR bagels.

Bruegger's Bagels is nicely located right off of Silver Spring. The location is by far one of the best parts about Bruegger's. I first noticed Bruegger's after going to Stone Creek Coffee which is directly next to Bruegger's. I went here for lunch since it was cooler out and I was feeling like soup. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very loud atmosphere and a not so clean seating area. While Bruegger's might be a place to take kids, it is certainly not a great place to have a quiet meal or meeting. I had the chili along with a ham sandwich on a marble rye bagel. The chili was not so great and tasted as if it had come out of a can. The ingredients of my sandwich seemed fresh. I was especially satisfied that you may choose what you want on your sandwich and can view its preparation. Now to the famous Bruegger bagel. My marble rye bagel was quite tasty, however it was very tough to chew as if it had been sitting for quite some time. The pros of Bruegger's are location, large selection of bagels, and friendly staff. With some work on their menu and products, I might reconsider for a higher star review.

Here at about 12:00PM on 4/11/2012 for a quickie lunch. I ordered a smoked salmon sandwich on a double toasted 'everything' bagel. The bagel, itself, was okay, not great. (I think Einstein's bagels are better, maybe even larger; just one man's opinion). The sandwich, as a whole, was good, though the cream cheese was spread on very thinly. (I found that puzzling as any other time I've been at a Bruegger's or any other bagel shop, the spread is much thicker). The lox had a good , fresh taste, as did the veggies. Coffee is always good here. I also like Bruegger's coffee setup, because it is a help-yourself system. This way, I can take short bursts of hot coffee and go back for more, instead of getting a full cup that goes cold in five minutes.

Bruegger's makes my favorite breakfast bagels ($4.09 for sausage, egg, and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel)! I don't know why they taste so good here but they are much more flavorful than what is served by their nearby competitors. But they lose a star (and nearly 2 stars) for the sometimes frustrating customer experience. The line usually moves very slowly. I always seem to be stuck behind a customer with lots of questions about the history of bagels and an employee happy to hold up the line with overly-friendly chit chat. It's all very friendly but most days I'd trade that for some focus on keeping the line moving. Also, there are no easily-available coffee or soda refills here--if you're a caffeine junkie like I am you'll need to wait through the line again to get that second cup of coffee for your caffeine fix. Great place if you have the luxury of time. If you're looking for a quick stop before the race into work you'll have better luck at Panera down the street.

Free Bagels at Bruegger's! Celebrating its 30th Anniversary in April, my wife and I rushed over to the Whitefish Bay location where we were more than 10 years ago on opening day, both armed with a downloaded coupon for three bagels. Having visited the Bagel Broker in Los Angeles during our February visit there, you can compare my reviews. We decided to order five different kinds, I had to get two of my favorite poppy seed despite my pledge to get three different bagels. Sorry. My other choice was a sesame, while my wife ordered onion, pumpernick and you guessed it, plain. Now don't get me wrong and I have told you we have been coming here for more than a decade, but while the price keeps rising, the quality seems to be declining, especially at 75 cents or more each. Amazingly both poppy seed bagels needed a magnifying glass to locate the few poppy seeds we could detect. No matter, I still ate them although greatly disappointed. In LA, the poppy seed bagels were completely covered, adding to the taste. My wife rated the onion and pumpernick bagels just average. However, the big surprise happened overnight. Ready to include the sesame and onion bagels with our breakfast, we discovered both semi-stale! Thank goodness we didn't pay for them. Wow, how far has Bruegger's fallen? Less than 20 hours later and sealed in a zip lock bag. Bummer! Sorry Bruegger's, it appears there is no quality control, at least in Whitefish Bay. You don't have to be an "Einstein" to know value and taste!

Once or twice a month my wife gets tasked with bringing in breakfast for her team at work. Being the good husband I am, I offer her my services of grabbing a bakers dozen of bagels from Bruegger's down the street. At 6 in the AM the staff can be a little crusty and the selection isn't fully stocked, but the freshness is worth it. Oh yeah, the bakers dozen turns into an actual dozen by the time my wife gets the bag.... Not a bad deal on either side.

Oh, "Bruegge's", How I love you so. This is in my 'hood so I hit this place up quite often. I can't help myself to a bagel and cheese or a egg and cheese every now and then. I still think they make the best bagel around. There are plenty of places to sit however I usually get my stuff to go since it is inundated with teenagers and screaming kids. Um...no thanks. I love their fresh brewed iced tea- strong and to the point. The staff is always nice when I go but there is turn over a lot, it's a bagel shop :)

Since most of the breakfast spots in Whitefish Bay have closed since I lived here, I figured I'd hit up Bruegger's. The staff was a bit snobbish, maybe because I'm in my Army uniform. I got a bagel breakfast sandwich which was very good. My bagel was fresh and the processed sausage and egg was microwaved to perfection.
